If you want freedom from life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits we encourage you to check out Celebrate Recovery on Monday nights here at Church of God of Exeter. This ministry seeks to celebrate God’s healing and redemptive power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles” and Christ centered “12 Steps” Celebrate Recovery is based on. We invite you to use our ministry to experience change, allow God’s grace to help you solve life’s problems, and allow Him to release you from your addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors that have been holding you back from authentic joy in your life.

Monday Night Schedule

Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday night 52 weeks a year even when Monday falls on a holiday! You do not need to be a member of any church to attend Celebrate Recovery.
6:00-7:00 p.m. (Last Monday of the month) CR BBQ
Bring the entire family and come join us for our monthly meal to celebrate our participants who have completed a year or multiple years in their area of recovery. This is a great opportunity to fellowship and get to know our “forever family”!
7:00-8:00 p.m. - Large Group Session.
Everyone meets together for a time of worship then a teaching, testimony or special guest speaker in the Family Life Center. There is no pre-registration or sign-ups, just simply show up as you are. Upon arrival you will be greeted by a greeter and handed a bulletin to help you become acclimated.
8:10-9:00 p.m. - Open Share Groups. This is the time to break into recovery specific groups. Meet others with similar hurts, hang-ups and habits. These groups are gender specific.
8:10-9:00 p.m. - also on Friday nights Celebrate Recovery 101. This is a one-time meeting where you will learn more about Celebrate Recovery, hear personal mini-testimonies and ask direct questions. If you are new to recovery or a visitor, after the Large Group session we invite you to attend this meeting.
9:00-9:30 p.m. - Solid Rock Cafe. This is a great time to fellowship with others from your group. Join us for refreshments and dessert. Back to top

Exeter Celebrate Recovery is excited to announce a new component to our ministry, Celebration Station! Celebration Station is the kid’s component of CR. While adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, kids discover the same truths in age-appropriate ways. While adults meet in their CR groups, children ages 5-12 will meet to discover all the amazing things God has in store for them. Through songs, games, videos, and great conversation kids will make Jesus the enduring, rock-solid foundation of their lives. Celebration Station is designed to inspire kids with hope, joy and happiness while they learn to rely on God. Celebration Station is truly a celebration of the joy in life, the wonder of God’s love and the promises of the future. Kids will experience sessions on topics such as denial, powerlessness, forgiveness, mercy, and grace – at their age level. Back to top

Celebrate Recovery's Life Hurts – God Heals (LHGH) is for junior high or high school students who are experiencing pain or addiction and find themselves involved with sex, drugs, pornography, eating disorders, drinking, cutting, depression, living with troubled family dynamics, etc. Students will be introduced to the same lessons as their parents in Celebrate Recovery such as denial, powerlessness, forgiveness, mercy, and grace – at their age level. Like the adults, students have the opportunity to break into recovery specific groups; meeting others with similar hurts, hang-ups and habits. These groups are gender specific and facilitated by an adult leader. Back to top
